Nagpur: Vandana Ranade, 40, whose husband Mahadev, a farmer at Dhapewada in Kalmeshwar taluka, had ended his life around three months ago after being unable to repay surmounting loans, was one of the farm widows to be handed over a cheque of Rs11,111 at the wedding reception of Bablu and Bhumika Chaudhuri at a venue in Kalamna on Monday. The sum meant a lot for this farm widow with two children as she is still waiting for the government´s compensation. It was a call taken by Bablu, who grew up at Bela in Umrer taluka.
