He never made it. Chinese security agents detained him on suspicion of endangering national security, 10 days after Canada arrested Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou at an airport in Vancouver. Spavor, as well as Canadian ex-diplomat Michael Kovrig, has now spent a year in Chinese custody....
