Farmers` body writes to PM on stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana

HYDERABAD: Consortium of Indian Farmers Association on Monday wrote to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi offering a solution for stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana. CIFA founder P Chengal Reddy said both State and Central government should announce a combined scheme to ensure paddy straw cut to bottom, bundled and sent to drought-hit areas as cattle fodder.
