Local manufacturing plant`s closing will affect 154 jobs

A subsidiary of Sweden-based Haldex AB is shuttering its Blue Springs manufacturing facility, which will affect 154 jobs. Haldex Brake Products Corp. filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act Tuesday. In the filing, Haldex said the layoffs at 2400 N.E. Coronado Drive will start Dec. 13 and will continue until the facility closes during the fourth quarter of 2020.
