KU Leuven kicks off the academic year with considerably higher number of international students

A couple of days before the start of the academic year, KU Leuven has conducted a first analysis of student numbers. The results are preliminary because registrations are still ongoing: students can register up to and including Wednesday 9 October. Therefore, considerable shifts are still possible in the coming days and weeks, but the provisional numbers already reveal several trends. A notable trend is the growing popularity of KU Leuven with international students: 6,500 international students have already registered for the new academic year.
