Philadelphia´s mayor Jim Kenney joined the growing calls for action on gun control after six police officers were shot while serving a drug warrant on Wednesday night, according to The Huffington Post. The standoff was eventually resolved with the suspected gunman taken into custody, but officials believe during the standoff he had an automatic rifle, which was used to exchange multiple bursts of gunfire with police in a populated part of the East Coast city. `Our officers need help.
