Raw milk production 2018: cow, sheep and goat milk production increased

Press release: 12.046-112/19 Vienna, 2019-06-25 - In 2018, the cow milk (+2.9% to 3 821 000 tonnes), sheep milk (+5.9% to 12 700 tonnes) and goat milk production (+13.1% to 26 100 tonnes) increased again compared to the previous year, according to Statistics Austria`s latest data regarding raw milk production. In 2018, the 538 000 dairy cows(-0.5%) kept in Austria produced a total of 3 821 000 tonnes of raw milk (+2.9%). The average annual milk yield was 7 100 kg per animal (+3.5%).
