Pre-gameOAKLAND—The Raptors are too veteran, too smart to get caught with worrying about who will not play for the Golden State Warriors in tonight’s Game 3 of the NBA Finals here.They will not care that all-star Kevin Durant is out again or that Warriors centre Kevon Looney is done for the series and Klay Thompson’s availability will not be known for certain until just before tip-off because they need to worry more about how they play rather than who is on the court for Golden State.“Whoever team that they put out on the floor is going to be a pretty good team,” Toronto’s Fred VanVleet said. “And it’s going to take a full effort from us to go out there and take care of business.”With the best-of-seven series tied 1-1 — Game 4 is here on Friday, Game 5 back in Toronto on Monday — tonight’s affair at Oracle Arena is significant.The Raptors are expected to be at full strength for the game.First quarterRaptors 36, Warriors 29The Raptors took advantage of an injury weakened Golden State lineup to get off to a torrid start in Game 3 of the NBA Finals here tonight.With Klay Thompson sidelined with a hamstring injury, joining Kevin Durant and Kevon Looney on the shelf, the Warriors had little answer for Toronto’s hot start as the Raptors took a 36-29 lead after one quarter.All five Raptor starters scored in the quarter and slump-ridden Danny Green made three three-point field goals in the first 12 minutes.The Warriors stayed in the game thanks to a brilliant quarter from Stephen Curry.
