LIVE: Raptors struggle to dig themselves out of deep hole by half-time
(The Star Toronto Raptors)

PHILADELPHIA—The Raptors, as they did in a disastrous shooting night in Game 2, put themselves in a deep hole with some poor shooting in the first half of Thursday’s game.Going 3-for-16 from three-point, the Raptors fell behind 58-43 at the intermission.Jimmy Butler dominated for the Sixers with 19 points while Kawhi Leonar had 14 for Toronto. The Raptors also gave up 49 per cent shooting to Philadelphia and the Sixers made six three-pointers.In each of the last two seasons — 2018 in Washington, 2017 in Milwaukee — they have eliminated opponents with road victories as they tried to keep that streak intact here tonight.“Listen, we know this is a tough place to play,” coach Nick Nurse said before Game 6 of Toronto’s series with the Philadelphia 76ers. “We know they will have a lot of juice. We know they will fight with desperation. We know all those things. Now can we act accordingly.”The Milwaukee Bucks, who dispatched the Boston Celtics in a five-game series, await the Raptors-Sixers winner.A Toronto victory tonight means the Eastern Conference final will open Monday in Milwaukee. A Game 7 in Toronto-Philadelphia series would be Sunday with the Eastern Conference final bumped back to starting Wednesday.
