NMC to give 4.88 lakh tax invoices from month end

Nagpur: Facing poor recovery of revenue, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will start distributing property tax invoices to citizens from April end. A senior official told TOI that already printing of 4.88 lakh invoices for the 2019-20 financial year was on. All 10 zones will start distribution of invoices from April end. To encourage early tax payment, 4% tax incentive is given for payment of property tax for the entire year before June 30 of the financial year. For payment after June 30, a simple interest of 2% is levied.
