Toronto police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the “targeted” stabbing death of a 51-year-old woman in the city’s underground PATH system on Wednesday evening.Officers found Rae Cara Carrington, 51, suffering life-threatening injuries in the PATH near the Commerce Court food court at King St. W. and Bay St. shortly after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.Carrington, who worked in the bustling food court, died at the scene. A source said Carrington was a mother of eight. Speaking from the food court Thursday, those who knew her described her as a “ray of sunshine.”Duncan O’Neil Sinclair, 19, of Toronto, was arrested by Southern Georgian Bay OPP on Friday, Toronto police said in a news release. Sinclair was arrested after people in the Midland area alerted police to his presence, Toronto police Const. Caroline de Kloet said.“Members of the Toronto Police Service Homicide Unit would like to thank citizens of Toronto and Midland communities for their assistance with this investigation,” Toronto police said in the release.Police believe the attack was “targeted,” de Kloet said, but added that police are not able to release further information about the relationship between Sinclair and Carrington.
