On a PIL filed by Congress leader Vishwanath Chaturvedi, the SC had directed the CBI on March 1, 2007, to inquire into allegations against the three, as well as Akhilesh´s wife Dimple. On petitions by the Yadavs seeking review of the 2007 judgment, the SC had dropped the probe against Dimple on December 13, 2012.
