Rs76cr sanctioned for GMCH radiotherapy dept

Nagpur: The state government has given administrative approval for upgradation of the radiotherapy department in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and sanctioned Rs76.10 crore for construction in phase I. As per the GR dated March 6, 2019, the government has allocated Rs76.10 crore for construction. However, for the first time, the government has selected NIT for construction work instead of PWD. Though the government is calling it `upgradation´, it is part of the Cancer Institute sanctioned earlier at GMCH.
