CHENNAI: Nearly three months after knocking the doors of the Madras high court, walkers and joggers from the neighbouring localities have joined Shenoy Nagar residents in stopping the construction on the 8.8-acre Thiru Vi Ka Park, one of the city´s largest green space, by taking their protest to social media. Through a 4.5-minute video, the residents demand response to several unanswered questions - including naming the authority who granted the approval for construction of underground parking facility and commuter amenities centre at the park. They also ask if the CMRL has assessed the damage to air quality that may arise during construction and damage the underground construction may cause...
