How living with epilepsy impacts parents and children

Rodenburg is involved with a number of research projects aimed at the effects of living with epilepsy. She conducts research into: behavioural problems in children with epilepsy resulting from traumatic experiences; mothers with epilepsy and the development of their children; excessive crying and sleep problems among babies in families affected and unaffected by epilepsy. The common element in these projects is the collaboration between clinical and behavioural scientists, along with the practical application of scientific knowledge in the form of training and advice for parents and care workers.
