Police arrested a Shepparton man in Australia over allegedly sending 38 packages containing a dangerous substance to consulates and embassies across southeast Australia on Thursday, according to National Public Radio. Australian police charged Savas Avan with sending dangerous articles through the postal service, which carries a maximum 10-year jail term. Emergency crews were called to consulates on Wednesday in Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney after being alerted by staff who received packages which were labeled as asbestos.
