DOJ Charges Four Over Decades-Long Money Laundering Plot Revealed In Panama Papers

United States prosecutors announced on Tuesday they were charging four people who took part in a massive scheme to evade paying taxes for decades that only came to light after the massive leak of the Panama Papers on April 2016, according to The Miami Herald. Prosecutors said three of the four people charged have already been arrested in the first criminal case brought by U.S. authorities linked to the Mossack Fonseca & Co. law firm in Panama which was central to the leak.
