Source: Braves to make Kranitz pitching coach

During his thorough search for a pitching coach, Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos unknowingly created the candidacy for the man he is expected to soon hire. A source familiar with the discussions said the Braves are nearing an agreement that will make Rick Kranitz their new pitching coach. Finalization of the negotiations and an announcement could come before the end of this week.
