Regional economic growth 2017 above average in Carinthia, Burgenland and Styria

Press release: 11.915-226/18 Vienna, 2018-12-04 - In 2017, Gross Regional Product (GRP)in real terms increased in all Austrian federal states, according to Regional Accounts data compiled by Statistics Austria. Real growth rates ranged from +4.5% in Carinthia to +1.7% in Vorarlberg. Austria`s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 2.6% in 2017 (see Table 1). Southern and south-eastern regions featured the strongest growth in 2017 The strongest real growthwas recorded in Carinthia(+4.5%).
