South Korea Sends The First Train In A Decade Over North Korean Border

A South Korean train crossed into North Korea on Friday for the first time in more than a decade as part of a joint trip to inspect North Korea`s aged railway system and plan to link the two rail systems on the divided peninsula, according to CNN. The South Korean team had all their necessary fuel and supplies on board in order to comply with sanctions still in place against Pyongyang for its nuclear and missile development programs. Any remaining fuel left over at the end of the trip will be transported back to South Korea to avoid the risk of breaching the international restrictions.
