PA asks govt to ensure private schools give free education to 10pc students

The Sindh Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution urging the Sindh government to ensure that private schools should provide free of charge education to at least 10 per cent of their students in accordance with the law. The call to bind Sindh’s private schools to the Sindh Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act-2013 was made in a resolution passed on the private members’ day of the house. An MPA of the opposition party, Dr Seema Zia of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, moved the resolution.
