Jharkhand government to build 100 feet statue of Birsa Munda in Ranchi: BJP

RANCHI: Following the footsteps of Gujarat, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led NDA government in Jharkhand has decided to commission a giant statue of tribal revolutionary Birsa Munda. BJP´s Jharkhand president Laxman Gilua on Tuesday announced that the party has proposed to the Raghubar Das government to build a 100 feet long statue of Munda in Ranchi. The chief minister has also consented to build the statue from the state exchequer, Gilua added.
