After pleasant Puja, brace for temperature rise

KOLKATA: A warm spell is round the corner in Kolkata after a dry and sunny Puja that paved the way for uninterrupted revelry. While it remained pleasant during the festivities, with maximum temperature hovering around the 32 degree-mark, the mercury has started climbing and could cross 35 degrees over the next 48 hours, warned the Met office. With no rain-bearing system in the region, the heat from the direct sun-rays is going to be intense, said the weathermen.
