5 Marine Drive clubs may face closure

Some of the elite South Mumbai gymkhanas that have refused renewal of their leases with the state government on grounds of non-affordability of rent under the new policy may face closure. City Collector Shivaji Jondhale on Friday issued final orders to five Marine Drive gymkhanas, asking them to renew their leases within 21 days or the government will take over their land.
