Water fountains are set to make a splash in London with 100 planned across the capital to cut down on waste plastic. The mayor, Sadiq Khan, has announced the next wave of fountains following his promise ten months ago that 20 fountains will be installed across London. The drive for Londoners to refill their water bottles will be jointly funded by Thames Water and City Hall, which has set aside cash from its budget to tackle single-use plastics.
