NCW asks sexual abuse survivors to lodge plaints

NEW DELHI/MUMBAI: The National Commission for Women took note on Wednesday of the #MeToo accusations and urged survivors to register complaints with the authorities concerned, including the commission, saying that many did not want to `go beyond naming and shaming` the alleged offenders. An NCW statement condemned `any act of invasion of the private space of women` and said it had taken `serious note of the instances of sexual harassment of women that have figured in the media recently`.
