Many many years ago, I saw a photograph of women sitting by stone steps as diyas floated in a waterbody. The photographer had caught the water glittering with the diyas, its reflection as well as of the women in their traditional finery. The image remained with me because the caption read Banganga, Mumbai. Since then, I have been dying to visit this area. And that is why, one early morning, I drag both my kids to participate in Khaki Tour`s (KT) heritage walk at Banganga, Walkeshwar.
