HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL ADOPTS UNIVERSAL PERIODIC REVIEW OUTCOMES OF TURKMENISTAN, BURKINA FASO, CABO VERDE, AND GERMANY

20 September 2018 The Human Rights Council this morning adopted the Universal Periodic Review outcomes of Turkmenistan, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, and Germany. Ahmetyar Kulov, First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to United Nations Office at Geneva, said that most of the 191 recommendations received were in line with the national human rights agenda, which enabled the acceptance of 172 or 90 per cent of the recommendations.
