The European Parliament, - having regard to Decision No 1313/2013/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 on a Union Civil Protection Mechanism(1), - having regard to Rule 123(2) of its Rules of Procedure, A. whereas the July 2018 fires at Mati in the Attica region of Greece constituted the worst fire disaster that Greece has experienced in more than a decade; B. whereas the fires devastated Mati, a small resort town about 30 kilometres outside of Athens; C. whereas 98 people were confirmed as dead, with over 200 people...
