Nagpur: Sounding a word of caution for those who take diabetes lightly, a study by a city doctor has thrown light on the part of life few want to discuss openly. Prolonged and uncontrolled diabetes (Type II) in one or both partners can cause both male and female dysfunction affecting sex life, warns a study conducted by a city doctor. The effect could be as high as 85% in males who may suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED). This effect ranges from 50% in pre-menopausal women to 80% in post-menopausal women.
