Empress City´s power snapped, residents force reconnection

Nagpur: Residents of Empress City on Sunday forced SNDL team to reconnect the power supply after it had disconnected the township following directives from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation´s (NMC´s) fire department. The team members waited for over 2.30 hours for Ganeshpeth police to arrive, but in vain. Realizing that cops were not coming to their aid, the SNDL team had to restore the power supply. Fire department had directed SNDL to disconnect Empress City on August 4 as the township did not have a no objection certificate (NOC).
