ATM skimming: Foreign travel bait to lure youths

KOLKATA: Interrogation of the Romanians arrested in the ATM-skimming fraud between December and August has revealed that unemployed youths were lured into the gang with promises of foreign travels, lodging at swanky hotels and a share of the booty. The gang members were lodged at a rented accommodation in Delhi. But once out on a recce or to fit a skimmer, they were always provided with three-star or four-star hotels.
