Tigers top Twins for Carpenter`s first MLB win

Ryan Carpenter tossed 5 1/3 innings and held a red-hot Minnesota lineup to just three runs as he and the Tigers topped the Twins on Saturday at Target Field. Mikie Mahtook had a three-run home run in the win, and Ronny Rodriguez added a two-run double. Four Twins homered in the loss: Joe Mauer, Tyler Austin, Miguel Sano and Mitch Garver.
