GURUGRAM: You could be fined up to Rs 5,000 if you are seen carrying a plastic bag or thermocol product or taking one from a vendor. MCG has recently passed a set of bylaws banning the use of plastic and thermocol items in the city. Anyone found using plastic bags or thermocol products, for any purpose, will be liable for a first-time fine of Rs 1,000. The fine can go up to as much as Rs 5,000 if anyone is found guilty of the offence on multiple occasions.
