Only seven takers for mining engineering in 2018

PANAJI: In the final round of admission to the mining engineering programme at Goa Engineering College (GEC), Farmagudi, on August 15, only seven of the 30 seats on offer have been taken up. In the previous round, 50% of the seats had been taken up. However, it appears that most students have vacated the seats after obtaining admission to other `better´ engineering streams, officials said.
