Halifax Humane Society completes $3.6M capital campaign

DAYTONA BEACH — The Halifax Humane Society says it has achieved its capital campaign goal of raising $3.6 million.`We`ve actually exceeded it,` said Barry Kukes, the Daytona Beach-based nonprofit organization`s community outreach director.The Halifax Humane Society was $7,500 shy of meeting its goal but has already raised $10,000 in pledges from its charity golf tournament that will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, starting at 8 a.m. at the golf course at LPGA International. ......
