Goregaon flyover ready; awaits Sena inauguration

MUMBAI: Work on a crucial east-west flyover at Goregaon has been completed by BMC, with testing of the structure having been done last Sunday, but its official inauguration is still awaited. Veer Savarkar flyover, which crosses through MTNL junction in Goregaon, was constructed at a cost of Rs 27 crore. Construction of the steel structure started in 2015 and it spans across around 500 metres. It is crucial for motorists as they will no longer get stuck on S V Road below. `Motorists can directly cut through traffic signals by taking the flyover, saving time too,` said a BMC bridges department official.
