Yamuna level rises in Delhi, 1k people shifted

NEW DELHI: For a second straight day, the water level at the Yamuna rose and touched 205.72 metres at 1pm on Wednesday, forcing over 1,000 people to be evacuated from low- lying areas. The water level had shown a sharp rise in the early hours of Wednesday after around 1.75 lakh cusecs of water was released from Hathni Kund barrage in Haryana on Tuesday night.
