Rodon, Abreu star as White Sox hold off Tigers

Jose Abreu homered and drove in three runs and Matt Davidson also went deep as the White Sox claimed the rubber match of a three-game series in Detroit. Tigers starter Jordan Zimmermann allowed both homers and all six Chicago runs, while White Sox starter Carlos Rodon lasted eight innings in his seventh straight quality start. Detroit almost overcame a three-run deficit with two runs in the ninth.
