Dispute disrupts some channels available on Dish Network

Victoria Television Group`s local broadcast channels are hanging on by a thread for Dish Network customers. The television group is negotiating new contracts with Dish officials for KAVU, KXTS and KMOL, which ended in mid-July, said Jeff Pryor, group vice president and general manager. After the three-year contracts ended, Victoria Television Group and Dish officials agreed to extend on a week-by-week basis for these channels, which are licensed by the company Morgan Murphy Media. The dispute concerns retransmission fees, Pryor said.
