Shelter home raided, man held for luring girls

PATNA: Police raided a shelter home and arrested one Ram Nagina Singh alias Banarsi (50) for allegedly helping three girl inmates in their bid to escape, at Nepali Nagar under the Rajiv Nagar police station area in Patna around 6am on Friday. Banarsi sells vegetables in the area. The Vishesh Ashra Grih is run by Anumaya Human Resource Foundation, an NGO, under the social welfare department. There are 75 inmates aged between 3 and 60 at the shelter home functional since April. Most of the inmates are from Uttar Raksha Grih and Alpawas Grih, Patna.
