101 passengers on stricken Andaman ship arrive in Chennai

CHENNAI: On an overnight trip from Port Blair to Nancowrie in the Andaman and the Nicobar Islands, V S Prabhu, 35, and Maran Dayal, 27, of Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district, were shocked to find water gushing into the ship they were aboard in the early hours of August 2. It was the beginning of a 10-day nightmare which finally came to an end when they arrived in Chennai on Friday night. Dayal, who works at a bakery in Port Blair with Prabhu, said, `Scenes from the film `Titanic´ came racing to my mind as water flowed into the ship.
