RWAs told to renew registration by December 31

GURUGRAM: The state government has given another chance to RWAs to renew their registrations under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Society Act (HRRS), 2012 - a move aimed at keeping tabs on functioning of residents´ associations and prevent setting up of more than one such group in a residential society. `Earlier, the government had given residential societies (and effectively their RWAs) three years to renew their registrations under the HRRS Act. The deadline for the application had come to an end in March 2017. However, only 2,500 societies had applied then.
