Campaign For Second Brexit Referendum Seeks Support Beyond Capital

Campaigners for a second referendum on Brexit will hold the first of a series of events outside London on Saturday to try to mobilize popular support beyond the capital for keeping Britain in the European Union, The Guardian reports. Conservative Member of Parliament Sarah Wollaston, Liberal Democrat leader Sir Vince Cable and Labor´s Stephen Doughty will address a lunchtime event at the Colston Hall in Bristol, where tickets are sold out. Organized by the People´s Vote campaign, it will be followed by events in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Cambridge and Cardiff before culminating in marches to coincide with the Labor party conference in Liverpool and the Conservative conference in Birmingham.
