USAID Promises $6 Million For Venezuelan Migrants

The head of the U.S. Agency for International Development announced the U.S. would put an additional $6 million to help fund health and nutrition programs for the estimated 70,000 Venezuelans that cross the border into Colombia every day on Monday, according to The Miami Herald. Mark Green said after watching thousands of Venezuelans pour into Colombia, it was clear the tragedy was man-made. `We´re standing on the front lines of one of the largest displacements of people in the history of Latin America,` Green said after visiting the border. He said Venezuelans are `hunger, lack of medicine and lack of opportunities. And fundamentally, they are fleeing... a despotic and dysfunctional...
