Self-driving cars don`t need oversight yet, U.S. regulator says

It`s premature to regulate the self-driving vehicles being tested by companies such as GM and Waymo, the government`s top auto safety official said, reaffirming NHTSA`s commitment to a hands-off approach to autonomous-vehicle development.
