Javier Solana, architect of Iran nuclear deal, will have to apply for visa if he wants to revisit USThe former Nato secretary general Javier Solana has been refused a visa waiver to enter the US because of his past trips to Iran, one of the countries blacklisted by US Department of Homeland Security.Solana, who helped negotiate the Iran nuclear deal during his time as the EU´s foreign policy chief, had been due to speak at an event at Washington´s Brookings Institution, but learned he would not be able to enter the US after trying to apply for an electronic visa waiver.
