The Brewers avoided falling out of first place with a dominant 12-4 win over the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park on Friday night. Ryan Braun`s first-inning three-run home run opened the scoring, and he added a two-run shot in the fourth. The Brewers` six-run fourth inning was more than enough to back starter Jhoulys Chacin, who improved to 5-1. Phillies starter Vince Velasquez allowed a career-high 10 runs in 3 2/3 innings.
