EU, Turkish Ministry Of National Education, And KfW Open First School In Nizip Refugee Camp

24/05/2018 The first school under the EU`s support in Turkey for education infrastructure programme opened today to provide access for the education of Syrian children in Nizip refugee camp. The Head of the EU Delegation to Turkey, Ambassador Christian BERGER, MoNE Undersecretary Yusuf TEKIN and KfW Member of Board Roland SILLER were among the 200 participants to the opening ceremony. The school opened is part of the EUR325 million EU funding on education infrastructure and developed in partnership with the German Bank for Reconstruction (KfW), aimed at facilitating the access of 112,620 Syrian and Turkish students to 3,756 new classrooms.
