Cards outpace Twins as offense comes alive

Dexter Fowler (2-for-3, 2 RBIs) and Matt Carpenter (3-for-5) were at the center of St. Louis` 13-hit outpouring that began against former Cardinals pitcher Lance Lynn and continued against six Twins relievers. Paul DeJong, Jedd Gyorko and Jose Martinez also contributed RBI knocks, while Tommy Pham went deep. Lynn lasted just three innings, while Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas went 4 2/3 frames. Logan Morrison led Minnesota`s offense with a homer and an RBI single, and Max Kepler and Joe Mauer each brought home runs.
